In this video I go through ten key points of how to write a crime mystery or detective novel, such as my new book the Disappearance of Florentina J. Lockhart, available on amazon for $0.99. 1) You must have an intriguing plot. it must grab the readers attention. The crime could be impossible -- a man in two places at once, or lurid for example a politician found dead in lady's underwear. 2) You must have a great resolution, with revelations that will shock the reader. 3) In the middle of the novel, in the filling of the sandwich, you must give hints as to what will happen in the resolution. 4) You must then add in red herrings in order to distract the reader from the truth. 5) You must try and incorporate some perfect red herrings whereby you simultaneously tell the reader the truth and y...
